Anna-Marie originally trained at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. She moved to England several years ago and has been treating patients in Devon for many years now. She is renowned for her very high level of patient care and warm smile and is also qualified to provide IV Sedation for more nervous patients.
As well as joining the Riverview Dental team, Anna-Marie also practises at the Devon Dental Centre of Excellence in Ashburton. As well as her loyal dental patients, it is here that she offers Botulinum treatment, an increasingly popular technique for softening facial lines.
After qualifying in 1991 at Newcastle University, Andrew has developed a strong reputation in Devon as a highly skilled and personable clinician. He initially worked and trained in Newcastle Dental Hospital as a houseman in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery, as well as gaining some early training in oral and maxillofacial surgery as a senior houseman at Truro city hospital before entering general practice.
Andrew is an accredited vocational trainer for newly qualified dentists entering their first year in general practice and as well as joining the Riverview Dental team. He also practices at the Devon Dental Centre of Excellence in Ashburton and the Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence in St Budeaux.
Karen grew up in Dalgety Bay on the east coast of Scotland, not too far from Dundee where she studied dentistry. Since graduating in 1998, she has been gradually moving south! Karen has gained a broad and wealthy experience in many aspects of dentistry, both in hospitals and in practice. During this time she achieved a Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, a notable postgraduate qualification.
Karen provides dentistry with a reassured and gentle touch in a friendly environment. As well as general dentistry, her particular areas of interest are cosmetic dentistry and helping anxious patients. She helps patients to feel at ease and gain confidence in the practice and is able to offer sedation for treatment when needed.
